Doug Webb encourages readers to study the Bible in an entertaining way by assuming the role of a detective who tries to solve the mystery: "Is God responsible for everything bad in the world?"
The God On Trial Series features new release God: Accused or Excused which examines the first few chapters of the Book of Genesis in order to provide the reader with a framework of understanding concepts like original intent, original sin, the spiritual source of evil as well as understanding that how God is viewed will determine how much we trust him. I Was Framed! Signed, God was the first book in the series.

Doug Webb loves God and people and teaching the Bible is the perfect combination. As a young boy in Norfolk, Virginia, Doug experienced God's goodness when after praying that God would take away his allergic reactions to chocolate, he was able to eat it with no ill effect. As a African American teenager growing up in inner-city Philadelphia, he found the Bible to be rich in depth but also fun and entertaining. His books are written to cultivate ease and interest as people study God's Word.
A high school athlete and honors student, he enrolled at the University of Virginia where after taking several business classes he decided to major in Sociology. He co-led a campus ministry for African American students and also began a cleaning business. A local pastor witnessed Doug’s love for Christian service and provided him with opportunities for lay ministry. Doug and his wife Tina were ordained and licensed for Christian ministry and served as Associate Pastors from 2004-2011. Currently, Doug works at an insurance company, maintains his cleaning business, and is a Life Group leader at their church.
Doug's passion, to explain the heart of God the Father, was kindled by his relationship with his dad. His website, myFather’scrown, reveals the greatness of God’s love as a father. “We all are born with a father, but some of us never know them. We can be familiar with their habits, know basic facts about their lives, see them every day or they can just be a name on a birth certificate. I want to teach people how to know God, not just memorize facts about him.” Doug’s first book, “I Was Framed, Signed, God”, has been well received and the sequel, God: Accused or Excused was released March 18, 2018.
In his spare time, he coaches youth basketball, plays Frisbee and board games, and watches sporting events with his family.
